Location - Chrishall
Chrishall is a pretty parish village in northwest Essex, close to both the Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire borders, and only 8 miles from the popular town of Royston. Chrishall has enjoyed a small community for at least 900 years, as confirmed by the Domesday Book of 1086, and yet still boasts a strong community spirit with excellent facilities. The Holy Trinity Church, dating back to the 12th Century, offers regular services and events and is one of seven in The Parish of Icknield Way Villages, paying homage to the oldest track in Britain which dates back to Neolithic times.

There are many clubs and societies for Chrishall residents to join, including carpet bowls, parent/toddler groups, cricket, painting, pilates and yoga. The cafe is open once a month in the village hall, and the luncheon club meets regularly in The Red Cow, a picture-perfect thatched pub, serving a wonderful selection of food and drink.

The village’s proximity to Royston means that residents have access to the town’s many other amenities, such as the mainline train station offering regular fast services to both Cambridge and London Kings Cross. There is also a leisure centre, sports clubs, dentist’s surgeries, and highly-regarded schools for all ages. The A1M and M11 are within a 15-minute drive via the A10/A505, and London Stansted and Luton Airports are both 30-minutes away.

If you’re looking to purchase in the area, we highly recommend giving this lovely village a visit!
