Ensum Brown are delighted to offer for sale this delightful detached cottage located on a quiet village lane in sought after Steeple Morden. Dating back to circa 1880, with a significant extension around 1980, the cottage is surrounded by countryside and with unspoilt views for miles to the rear.

You approach the property to driveway parking for two vehicles and you will find a detached outbuilding that was formerly a garage, and could be once again, that has the potential for a conversion if desired. This could be a fantastic home office or gym perhaps and is ideal with power and light connected, windows and a vaulted ceiling making it feel very spacious. You approach the property, with gated access, where you go through the main garden, which is to the front, that is mainly laid to lawn with a patio area. The garden has a high degree of privacy and is deceptively spacious, it's also a great sun trap in the spring and summer months.

Stepping into the property itself, you will find the whole property in excellent, neutral, decorative order throughout and for a cottage with period beams head height in general won't be a location, even if you are 6ft+ tall. There are two main rooms on the ground floor, firstly a kitchen/breakfast room with farmhouse style fittings and with ceramic tiled flooring it's ideal if you've been out on a country walk and need to kick your boots off. The kitchen has lots of work surface and storage space, an integrated oven and hob with extractor over and built in dishwasher. As well as under stairs storage it is nicely finished with tiled splashbacks and spotlighting.

The main reception room, to the rear, is a simply stunning room all year around and benefits from the countryside views to the rear. This room works perfectly as a lounge and dining room as it is open plan but with feature wooden beans there is also a degree of separated areas. If of course you have children and needed more space, then the kitchen would work perfectly well as your main dining area and you could make other use of this main reception room. At each end of the room you have a feature fireplace, both with wood burning stoves and one with a timber display mantle. The room is nicely completed with feature wall lighting and wooden floors.

Going to the first floor this home continues to impress. Off the landing, which has a built-in double storage cupboard, you have 3 bedrooms in total and no box room, the two main doubles are particularly generous, and you could choose either as your main bedroom depending on which view you prefer. The family bathroom has been re-fitted with a four piece suite in white with a separate shower cubicle and roll top bath that is perfectly positioned to allow you to relax with the countryside views.

Finally, back outside, you also have a very useful lean-to workshop and dry area to the side of the property with access from front to back. There is also a side and rear strip of land with dwarf wall to the rear, which the current owners have enjoyed a glass of wine sitting on over the years they have happily lived there.

Ensum Brown highly recommend a viewing of this detached cottage for full appreciation of both the location and property on offer for sale.
