Ensum Brown are delighted to bring to the market 'Hawthorns', a beautiful chalet bungalow built in 1969 that oozes character and charm. Situated on a good sized plot, this property has a driveway accommodating three vehicles, large front garden which has potential to convert into a bigger driveway, and a beautifully maintained rear garden backing onto neighbouring fields. Being located in the popular village of Buckland, this home spans approximately 2,500 sq. ft. of accommodation and is within a short drive of Buntingford, Royston, Ware and Hertford.

Upon entering the property you are welcomed by an impressive entrance hall, which was an addition by the current owners. This entrance hall has been tastefully done, with unique and historical artifacts adorning the cream coloured walls and tiled flooring. A lantern was also added, making this a beautifully bright space.

Continuing through into the kitchen, this is a lovely sized room that has been neutrally decorated with a variety of wall and base cream units with chrome accents, that have been paired with white marble effect worktops. Integrated appliances include a double NEFF oven and four ring electric hob, and there is ample space for freestanding appliances, including a large American style fridge/freezer and washing machine. This kitchen, while having a traditional layout, also has a number of unique features, including a large wall feature providing an open feel.

The conservatory is a fantastic addition to the house and was added by the current owner; the great thing about this reception space is the is that it can be used for multiple functions, such as a garden room, dining room or just simple a conservatory. As this is such a fantastic sized room there is ample space for furniture and currently homes a four seater dining table as well as other furniture that is ideal for relaxing a soaking up the sun in this incredible garden room. There are also four doors, two of which lead into the garden, one that leads into the living room and one that leads into the office.

Moving into the living room/diner, this is an incredible room that has been divided perfectly into two designated spaces. The dining area is private from the rest of the room and perfectly fits an eight seater dining table. From here there are a few steps leading down to the living area. This is a wonderful room, with floor to ceiling windows on all three walls, creating a great deal of natural light and allowing you to fully appreciate the beautiful views. Being a great sized room, there is ample space for living room furniture, and on winter nights you can cozy up and appreciate the electric fireplace.

Moving onto the other reception spaces, the ground floor level also homes two other reception rooms which have multi-functional uses, depending on what you desire. Currently, one of these reception rooms is used as an office, with a beautiful bay window overlooking the front aspect of the house and a door leading into the conservatory. If desired, this is also a great space for a fourth bedroom. The other reception room is the ideal space for a playroom, crafts room or office.

Separating these two reception rooms is the downstairs bathroom. This is a great sized bathroom that comprises of a three piece suite, including a bathtub with hand held chrome shower head, a low level flush WC and hand basin. This bathroom has been decorated in a very unique but beautiful way, with blue tones throughout.

The third double bedroom is located on this floor, and much like the other bedrooms, it is a great size. This room has been carefully decorated with cream walls paired with blue carpet and fitted wardrobes. There is also a large window overlooking the garden and neighbouring fields, creating a very peaceful space.

Completing the ground floor level is a hallway that leads into a boot room. This is the ideal space for a utility room/storage room. There is a door on your right leading into the garden and a door on your left leading you into the integral garage.

Heading upstairs, there are a further two double bedrooms and family bathroom. The principle bedroom is a fantastic sized room with dual aspect windows, making this a lovely and bright room.
